Privacy
Last updated 13 October 2026. Loop Switch is a product of DoubleTake Media LLC.
The short version: we keep what it takes to make your band or card work, ship it and bill it. We do not sell it, we do not share it for advertising, and the app has no analytics or advertising trackers.
What we keep
- Your band or card: its code and where you point it (the links, usernames, phone number or email you put in your widgets, for the one you pick).
- Your account: the name you give, and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the account id they give us and the email address they share (Apple may give us a private relay address). If you sign in with your email, the address you type.
- Your order: the name and shipping address you enter at checkout, so we can send it.
- Taps: how many different phones tapped it, and when. So a phone counts once, the page leaves a random number on that phone the first time. It is not a name or a number anyone could look up, and we never ask who tapped.
- App updates: when the app checks for a newer version of itself, it sends a random number it made on your phone. It is not a name or a number anyone could look up, and deleting the app deletes it.
When you are signed in, your home screen (your widgets and the photos in them) is saved to your account so it comes back on any phone you sign in on. Deleting your account deletes it. Your profile photo stays on your phone until you point a switch at your Profile: then it goes up with the Profile, so the people who tap can see it. If you sign in with Google, we keep the web address of your Google picture so the Switch website can show it.
What a tap shows
What you point your band or card at is public: anyone who taps it, or opens its link, sees it. That includes your Profile (its name, photo and links), a contact card (the name, number or email and photo on it), a phone number you set a tap to call, photos you share, and a payment handle such as your Zelle number or email. Shared photos come down after 24 hours only if you turned that on.
What we never have
Your card number. Payments are made on Stripe’s page; we see only that you paid.
Who else touches it
- Stripe, for payments and receipts
- Amazon Web Services, where our servers run
- Apple and Google, if you sign in with them
- Resend, which sends the sign-in code when you sign in with your email
- Google’s icon service, which is shown the web address of a link you add so the app can show that site’s icon
- Expo, which delivers the app’s updates and is sent that random number when the app checks for one
- Apple Music, Spotify and SoundCloud, which are shown the song, album or playlist you add so the app can show its cover art
- Google Places, which is sent the business name and town you type when you look up a business
- Cloudflare, which is asked whether a website exists when we check a link you add and cannot find it, so it is shown that website’s name
- Shippo, which buys the shipping label and follows the tracking, so it is given the name and address your order ships to
- Twilio, which carries the text message we send ourselves about each new order: what was bought, and the name and town it ships to
- The carrier who delivers your order
Deleting it
In the app: Settings, then the round profile circle at the top right, then Delete Account. That deletes your account, your saved home screen and its photos, the link between your email address and your account, and any account joined to it (when you signed in with both Apple and Google). If you signed in with Apple, we also ask Apple to cancel the sign-in it gave us.
Your bands and cards keep sending people where they point now. Deleting your account does not stop a monthly plan: it keeps billing until it is cancelled, so cancel each one first with Manage its plan. Your orders stay with us as payment records.
You can also email support@westcoastloop.com and a real person will delete what we hold. Payment records we must keep for tax law.
